Last week, our Project Manager, Tom Stephens, had the opportunity to speak with construction management students at Melbourne Uni. Sharing insights from a live project was a rewarding experience, made even better by hosting the students on site the very next day to see it all come to life. During the lecture, Tom covered everything from navigating heritage façade retention and site restrictions to showcasing the technology we use for BIM modelling and implementing environmental control measures.
On the site tour, the students got a firsthand look at the complexities of the project, including different piling methods and basement structuring. It was fantastic to see their excitement and hear their questions—full of curiosity and genuine interest. Being able to visualise how we handle these challenges on the ground helped them connect theory with practice and gain a deeper understanding of the industry.
Educating future industry professionals and giving them the chance to engage with live projects is central to how we’re shaping the future of construction and supporting the next generation of leaders.
