We believe in empowering our graduates with knowledge, experiences, and connections that will shape their success in the professional world. Today, we want to share a crucial aspect of our program: our site tours.
Kapitol's site tours are more than just visits to different project sites. They enable our graduates to explore the diverse sectors we work in—each project presents unique challenges and invaluable lessons that our grads can carry forward as they progress their careers.
During a recent tour of our Tungs BTR project, our grads had the opportunity to learn from PM Tom Stephens, who shared invaluable insights and lessons learned from the project team's experiences. These lessons learned will help our grads navigate their own projects and avoid similar pitfalls. The dinner conversations that followed the tour buzzed as our grads exchanged key learnings they had never encountered before.
Beyond knowledge, the site tours serve as a powerful platform for connection and support. Many of our newer grads had yet to meet their peers, as they are sometimes the sole grad on their respective sites. This forum brings them together, fostering internal networks and creating a community of support where ideas and encouragement flow freely.
Reflecting on the tour, graduate Jack Cunnington shared his learnings, saying, "It was a really informative session. I learned about concrete profiles, bathroom set downs, site logistics, and planning on this project. The discussions around tower cranes versus mobile cranes were eye-opening."
Graduates are our future and we're committed to equipping our grads with the tools they need to excel.
