PREMIERSHIP CUP TOUR | SUPPORTING MAGPIE NEST PROGRAM

Kapitol was thrilled to receive a visit from Collingwood’s 2023 Premiership Cup on Wednesday and to hear about the work of the Collingwood Football Club Foundation and support their Magpie Nest Program.

Our Construction, Operations Manager and Collingwood super-fan, Luke Wade, arrived early at Collingwood Football Club (AIA Vitality Centre) to collect the precious cargo before heading to site tours for our team to take photos with the Premiership Cup.

The day culminated in a staff and client event at our head office where we heard from Commanding Officer of the The Salvation Army Australia, Major Brendan Nottle, and our People Operations Manager, Pauline Duncan, Non-Executive Director of the Collingwood Football Club Foundation, about the work the football club’s foundation is undertaking to support people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

The foundation supports range of community initiatives include the Magpie Nest Housing program and the Magpie Nest Cafe which provides more than 4,000 meals per week. We are proud to support the Foundation and look forward to continuing that support through volunteering at Magpie Nest Café (Bourke Street, Melbourne).

No matter what football team or code you support this was a unique opportunity for our Kapitol people to engage with a Premiership Cup which symbolises elite sporting performance, team work, and a high performance culture whilst also giving to the community in which we build.
