AFR Article | Data centre builders fight infrastructure for heavy cranes

In a piece written by Michael Bleby in the Australian Financial Review, our Director Andrew Deveson talks about how the growing demand for data centres has builders like Kapitol Group competing with the infrastructure sector for heavy tower cranes. 

Discussing a tower crane we recently erected at NEXTDC's M2 data centre facility in Tullamarine, Andrew explained - "If you build an apartment or an office the heaviest thing you might lift is 12 tons, whereas on this project we're lifting a 60-ton generator, 60-ton beames," "It's not a huge fleet in Australia of this type of cranes we use."
