Embracing Sustainability at Kapitol

While safety is paramount on our sites, we also recognise the importance of embracing ESG in construction. That's why we've introduced NEW sustainable gloves and glasses to our mandatory PPE uniform!

Our gloves, still cut-resistant and compliant with safety requirements, have undergone a sustainable transformation. Thanks to Safety Mate and their latest innovation, the NEW NXG GreenTek gloves are now made from up to 50% recycled PET yarn. Each pair is created from repurposed plastic bottles, with one bottle equating to one pair of gloves! Plus, they come in paper packaging, eliminating plastic waste!

Additionally, Kapitol's NEW glasses from UVEX Safety are made from recycled materials such as drinking bottles, which in turn are used to manufacture frames for the safety glasses. Even the cardboard cartons are made from over 90% recycled paper! Through this initiative, we prioritise sustainability on our sites while minimising our environmental footprint.
